Sullivan Economic Development
So far an estimate of 30-40 businesses have opened in the City of Sullivan City within the last few years. These businesses range from drive-thrus to daycares, beauty salons, phone companies, carry-out restaurants, as well as home health care facilities. Recently, a Dollar General and Border Town Foods store have opened within the City. Other businesses are in the initial developmental stages.Our Economic Development Coorporation (EDC) aims to bring more businesses to the City of Sullivan City. Our current focus is on bringing fast food chains and more restaurant options to our City.
Our newly developed Economic Development Board will focus on developing incentives for new businesses. Our first priority will be the development of a community profile which contains traffic counts, census data, and information on commercial land available for new businesses.
